Gingival (Gum) Grafting
Receding gums can cause unnecessary discomfort, tooth sensitivity and can be aesthetically displeasing. Gums will not repair themselves on their own.
The gum grafting procedure uses a small piece of tissue to cover the exposed root surface of your tooth. This forms a seal around the neck of the tooth, covering the root to decrease sensitivity and prevent further gum recession and bone loss.
The result: a more natural looking smile, less tooth pain or sensitivity, and the prevention of further gum recession and bone loss.
